These glasses are exceedingly rare because they were only awarded to elite captains after their most death-defying voyages. Found in an 18th century shipwreck off the coast of Jamaica, they’ve been polished and shaped by the currents over centuries, giving them an exquisite shape, smooth texture, and balanced weight. We know they were made for whiskey since the wreck they came from had a supply of sunken scotch on board—but they work great for a dark and stormy or an old school mai tai too.
